Spotting Fake News

Fake news can easily trick people to believe what they see online. You could be doing research and believe something that's been made up. Sometimes it's good to double check even on other sources for a
proper answer. Well if that doesn't work, make sure to look at the setting of where the picture has been
taken like look at the back round and the things around it or if it has no picture make sure to look at the
keywords they use and the emotions they are expressing in the writing. Make sure you can trust that
website, because you never know if it's a site made to hack your devices or made to make everyone
believe that their site is the one with all the facts but really... IT'S NOT!! it's really full of their own
opinions about things they believe.

Scandalous Satire

Walt: think critically about what we are reading
1 thing you can spot satire is to research things that relate to
that text. If nothing comes up then it's totally fake.
The 2nd thing to do is to take a better look at things
that they say, create and look at the pictures to see if
they look serious. the 3rd thing to do is to have a think about
if they will actually say something like that.

Terrific Transformations

Joseph Parker

We started off with a normal assembly before they welcomed Joseph Parker. He started off by telling us quotes that'll help us later on in life.

Protest

Why do people protest? To keep everything quiet and going the right way,
also to keep people happy and so everything they’ve needed is happening
in life or when they see something going wrong, they can protest to fight for
their rights.

What is a protest?
A protest is when people get permission from the police and they block off
all the streets And they fight for their people and the people who are suffering
or going through the same thing they are going through. Also, it can be
supporting multiple families who have been left in the street homeless
and who haven’t been given any food. These aren’t the only causes
but everyone has an opportunity to stand up for people who are in need for
support beside them. Even helping the environment is a good thing to
protest about because there are heaps of people who walk past rubbish
and don’t pick it up.

What causes people to protest?
Protests usually occur in response to an event. This could be a law
change or injustice. People get together to protest about what  has happened.

Do Protests actually work?
They can, depending on what is happening or what it’s about.
For example, Nelson Mandela had to speak out about what he
was going through for years. He even went to jail for 10,000 days
before things changed. That worked, but the protest took a long time.
