Protest

Why do people protest? To keep everything quiet and going the right way,
also to keep people happy and so everything they’ve needed is happening
in life or when they see something going wrong, they can protest to fight for
their rights.

What is a protest?
A protest is when people get permission from the police and they block off
all the streets And they fight for their people and the people who are suffering
or going through the same thing they are going through. Also, it can be
supporting multiple families who have been left in the street homeless
and who haven’t been given any food. These aren’t the only causes
but everyone has an opportunity to stand up for people who are in need for
support beside them. Even helping the environment is a good thing to
protest about because there are heaps of people who walk past rubbish
and don’t pick it up.

What causes people to protest?
Protests usually occur in response to an event. This could be a law
change or injustice. People get together to protest about what  has happened.

Do Protests actually work?
They can, depending on what is happening or what it’s about.
For example, Nelson Mandela had to speak out about what he
was going through for years. He even went to jail for 10,000 days
before things changed. That worked, but the protest took a long time.
